What do these projects show?

The gallery covers the main types of door and window we fit. Each photo shows a different combination of material, colour and glass, which can help if you’re still deciding what you want.

Composite front doors

Grey, navy, rosewood and oak-effect composite doors, with a mix of patterned, leaded and obscure glass. Several have matching side panels to bring more light into the hallway.

uPVC doors and windows

French doors and bi-folds opening onto gardens and decking, a panelled back door and white uPVC windows on a rear extension. These show how uPVC can be used to open up a room as well as replace a standard door.

Solid wood internal doors

Oak and pine doors in cottage and 1930s styles, plus a pair of glazed double doors. Solid internal doors make a real difference to how well built a house feels.

Our standards

How we make sure every job is finished properly

A good-looking door or window only stays that way if it’s fitted well. These are the checks that go into every installation.

Measured accurately

Correct measurements are the basis of a good fit, so every opening and wall is checked carefully.

Fitted with care

Frames are set level and square, joints are neat and everything is adjusted before we leave.

Left tidy

Work areas are protected during installation and cleaned up afterwards.

Planning a similar project?

Photos are a great starting point. If you see a door or window you like, mention it when you get in touch and Tom can tell you how it would work on your home. Each of our services pages also explains the options in more detail.

Choosing a colour

A door that looks great in a photo can look different against your own brickwork. Look at your window frames, brick colour and roof together, and think about whether you want the door to stand out or blend in.

Matching doors and windows

If you’re replacing a door and windows at different times, it helps to plan the colours and finishes together from the start. That way the front of the house looks consistent when everything is done.

Letting in more light

Glass panels, side panels and French doors all bring more daylight into a room. If your hallway or kitchen is on the dark side, ask about these when you request a quote.

What a photo can’t show you

A photo shows how a door or window looks on the day it’s fitted. What it can’t show is how it feels to use a year later. That depends on the fitting: a frame set level and square, seals that sit evenly and locks that line up properly. It’s the part of the job you don’t see, and it’s the part Tom takes most care over, so your new door or windows keep working as well as they look.
